At Utica College, we appreciate and honor the hard work and sacrifices of our servicemen and women. The college is carrying on years of helping American veterans; when UC opened its doors in 1946, most of its first students were returning WWII veterans. Utica is committed to making our respected online programs accessible and affordable for active service members and veterans.

Tuition Assistance for veterans, active service members, and dependents

Here are several options for tuition assistance available to you and your dependents, whether you are currently enlisted, in the reserves, or a veteran.

A Military Friendly School

We are honored to be named one of America's Military Friendly Schools 2017 by G.I. Jobs magazine for the eighth consecutive year. Utica College has also been named a Top Military-Friendly College by Military Advanced Education for the 5th straight year!

Utica College is approved for both the Montgomery and Post 9/11 GI Bills and is a participant in the Yellow Ribbon program. We also offer an additional 10% tuition discount on our online programs for service members and spouses of Active Duty, Reserve, and Guard members.

Other features and benefits available to veterans and members of the armed services include:

  • ::  A dedicated full-time veterans' liaison
  • ::  No financial or academic penalties for withdrawal from courses due to orders for military duty and seamless reintegration when you return
  • ::  Credit for College Level Examination Program (CLEP) exams
  • ::  ACE credit for military training (30 credits maximum)
  • ::  Possible credits based on your Military Qualification Record
