Duration: 8 weeks
Credits: 1.5

In BUS 689 Project Execution, the second of two capstone courses for Utica’s Master of Business Administration degree, you’ll continue the consultant work you started in BUS 679. In this course, you’ll act on the groundwork you laid out previously and execute your proposal with your client. Your final project consists of a substantial, detailed written report that rivals that of a major management consulting firm.

Course Description

In BUS 689, the primary focus is on the most important aspect of this project, your ability to evaluate information and collect data for the purpose of making recommendations. As a consultant, your objective is to leave the client knowing the information provided will give the organization a competitive edge. While the deliverable for this course is a 40+-page paper and a 20-minute formal presentation, a satisfied client is the goal.

To succeed in that goal, you’ll submit a final draft of your paper prior to finalizing it. This will give you and your instructor an opportunity to identify problem areas and further refine your presentation. Then you’ll execute your proposal in conjunction with the client organization present recommendations developed from your exploration of the business problem.

The result will be a detailed, substantive and high-quality report similar in standard and completeness to the product produced by paid consultants in industry.
