Michael D. O'Connor, M.S., has worked for online merchants, third-party service providers, and card networks in the field of online payment risk management and fraud prevention for more than 15 years.
During his illustrious career, he managed the fraud prevention team for Overstock.com, started the Managed Risk department for CyberSource, helped merchants implement device fingerprinting technologies for innovation, and managed a series of online payment projects in China for American Express. He also ran the PCI compliance program for Obopay — a mobile payment startup company — and created network-wide security policies for American Express.
O'Connor is in the process of writing his first book, "A Business Guide to Online Fraud Prevention." He works at RSA where he runs a global team that consults Fortune 100 companies on how to detect and prevent fraud and other threats to their online business.
