Biography

Dale Smith, MPA, has more than 25 years of experience in criminal justice, including serving as a senior program analyst at the FBI's National Data Exchange (N-DEx) program office and a principal consultant to the Implementation and Transition Unit of the Next Generation Program at the FBI's Criminal Justice Information Services Division.

Smith spent nine years at the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C), training law enforcement officers around the U.S. in data mining, link analysis, and financial investigations. He also served as a deputy sheriff, DARE officer, sniper, and a detective with the sheriff's offices in West Virginia's Monongalia and Lewis counties.

Smith has spent more than eight years teaching with Utica.
