Glen Hansen, Ph.D., MBA, is Associate Professor of Accounting and coordinator of the on-campus Accounting program at Utica College (UC). He has taught finance, accounting, and statistics at Brigham Young University, the University of Rochester, Penn State University, Baruch College, and Hunter College.
He has worked and consulted in the investment industry designing accounting-based investment strategies for Ziff Brothers Investments, Battenkill Asset Management, and Morgan Stanley—where he continues to provide investment consulting for hedge funds. He is a member of the Business Department Business Leadership team.
Hansen has published finance and accounting articles in several international journals and a book chapter in the "Handbook of Security Analyst Forecasting and Asset Allocation." His current research focuses on how managers use their discretion to influence accounting earnings and other financial statement accounts. He has applied this research primarily in the banking industry.

Atasi Basu, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Accounting who joined the Utica College faculty in 2005. With more than 10 years of college teaching, Basu has taught at Syracuse University, Le Moyne College, Purdue University, and the Indian Institute of Technology.
Basu's primary research interests include financial meltdown effects on the consumer discretionary sector, allocation of service department costs, retail competition on the Salop Circle, and the effects on budgets as demands fluctuate.

Donna M. Dolansky, MBA, is the chair of Utica College's Business Department Faculty Teaching committee and has been working in the accounting industry since 2000. She spent seven years working at the public accounting firm Ernst & Young LLP in Boston, with a two-year rotation at their London office. Her clients were in the financial services industry.
Dolansky then moved to upstate New York and worked at NBT Bank in various accounting and finance roles—overseeing financial reporting and budgeting, mergers and acquisitions, and financial analysis and planning.

Mary Cooper, M.Ed., DBA, joined the Utica College faculty as an assistant professor in 2018. She brings with her more than 20 years of experience in public accounting with a specialization in taxation. Cooper is both a CPA and a CGMA, and spent more than 15 years working as a supervisor/tax manager. Previously, she held a professor of practice position at Le Moyne College.
Cooper's research interest includes both tax and management accounting. Her recent paper "Conflict Management Style and Exhaustion in Public Accounting" will soon be published in a top accounting journal: Managerial Auditing Journal.
