State Authorizations for Distance Learning: Nursing Home Administrator Certificate
Utica University is required to seek approval to offer distance education (online) programs in most states in the country. As these regulations are continuously evolving, Utica University makes every effort to maintain compliance and is working with each state to gain the appropriate authorization for each of our programs.
Utica University is authorized to operate in all states that participate in the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA). Approval for institutional participation was granted on January 4th, 2017.
Nursing Home Administration Licensure
Consistent with state and federal regulations, colleges preparing students for professions involving certification or licensure must disclose if programs that could potentially lead to certification or licensure meet the requirements of each state’s licensing requirements.
Nursing Home Administrator Certificate
The Utica University Nursing Home Administration Certificate fulfills the academic requirements for licensure in New York State. Specific courses within the Master of Health Administration program also satisfy the academic requirements for licensure in New York State.
