Letter from National Centers of Academic Excellence
Utica College is proud to be designated a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance/Cyber Defense Education (CAE IA/CD) by the National Security Agency (NSA) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Utica College has met the increased demands of this new five year designation category with its Bachelor's and Master's in Cybersecurity programs.
Department of Defense Cyber Crime Center
Defense Cyber Crime Center (DC3) sets standards for digital evidence processing, analysis, and diagnostics for any DoD investigation that requires computer forensic support. DC3 chairs the National Center of Digital Forensics Academic Excellence (CDFAE) governance board comprised of Academia and Professional Organizations specific to the discipline. Utica College is proud to be one of its Pilot schools and Trusted partners and was recently designated a National Center of Digital Forensics Academic Excellence by the CDFAE.
Advancing Financial Crime Professionals Worldwide

International Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Analysts
Utica College is an academic member of the International Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Analysts (IALEIA), the largest professional organization in the world representing law enforcement analysts. It's Professional Certification Committee reviewed and approved Utica College's M.S. in Cybersecurity courses.
Consortium of Digital Forensic Specialists
Utica College is an organizational member of the Consortium of Digital Forensics Specialists (CDFS). Its fundamental goal is to improve the digital forensic profession through unity, advocacy, and standardization.
The Cyber Security Forum Initiative
Utica College is proud to be an operational sponsor of the Cyber Security Forum Initiative (CSFI). The CSFI is a large community of nearly 5,000 Cyber Security and Cyber Warfare professionals from the government, military, private sector, and academia.
Wright-Patterson Air Force Base
Utica College is a member of the Air Force Research Laboratory Information Institute (AFRL/RI). The AFL/RI Directorate consists of more than 800 military and civilian scientists and engineers charged with leading the discovery, development, and integration of affordable war-fighting information technology capabilities for our air, space and cyberspace force.
Potomac Institute for Policy Studies
Potomac Institute for Policy Studies is an independent, 501(c)(3), not-for-profit public policy research institute. The Institute identifies and aggressively shepherds discussion on key science, technology, and national security issues facing our society, providing in particular, an academic forum for the study of related policy issues. From these discussions and forums, we develop meaningful policy options and ensure their implementation at the intersection of business and government.
National Cyber Watch Center
Utica College is proud to be a member of CyberWatch. CyberWatch is an Advanced Technological Education (ATE) Center, headquartered at Prince George's Community College and funded by a grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF). The CyberWatch mission is to increase the quantity and quality of the information assurance (IA) workforce with a focus on education at all levels, and include curriculum development, faculty professional development, student development, career pathways, and public awareness.
CompTIA Authorized Partner Program
Utica College is a proud Academy Partner of CompTIA - the voice of Information Technology, which is designed to assist academic institutions, nonprofit organizations, and government retraining agencies in enhancing the learning experience for students preparing for an IT career. Cyber Research Institute
A primary focus area of the New York State Cyber Research Institute (CRI) is sensitive and classified cyber security research and development, leveraging the groundbreaking work being done at AFRL Rome with its industry and academic partners. The CRI will help develop solutions to challenge problems that jeopardize the safety, security and stability of the infrastructure and assets of New York State, and our country, in particular our national finance and banking, emergency communication, energy and transportation systems.
The NCFC is a partnership of academic, government and private sector resources that collaborates to provide cutting-edge research, development and service in the field of digital forensics, as well as the operation of a state-of-the-art computer crime laboratory. It is the mission of the NCFC to provide the highest quality service using the latest technology and industry leading methods. Accuracy, integrity and impartiality are the hallmarks that define every aspect of our operation.
The goal of the CNY Cyber Alliance is to foster partnerships that will grow the cyber-based economy in New York State, expand the region's cyber-based workforce, and promote New York State as the leader in Public/Private Sector collaboration in cyber-based research and protection. The Alliance leverages federal, state and private training, research, development, and technology transfer resources to protect the integrity of cyber-based infrastructure, facilitate the transfer of cyber technology to effective market applications, and establish and foster sustainable programs.
Griffiss Institute for Information Assurance
The Griffiss Institute was established in 2002 as a not for profit organization chartered to advocate and facilitate the co-operation of private industry, academia and government in developing solutions to critical cyber security problems.
