Transfer Credit

Utica University accepts transfer credits for the online RN to BSN. Note these guidelines around our transfer process:

  1. You can transfer up to 90 credits from four-year institutions and 60 credits from two-year institutions, depending on your major. Courses must be passed with a grade of “C” or better.
  2. Your current RN license automatically transfers 30 credits in nursing to your baccalaureate degree.
  3. You can transfer up to 30 credits of arts and sciences from an associate’s degree program and up to 60 from a baccalaureate degree program.
  4. You need a minimum of 121 credit hours to graduate. Transfer credits are included in that total. At least 60 of your credits must be in the liberal arts and sciences.

If you have any questions about the above, you can speak with an enrollment counselor at (866) 295-3106 or request more information.

International Students

This program does not currently accept international students that are licensed outside of the U.S.

In cases where a student was educated internationally, but lives in and is licensed in the U.S., the student will need an official course-by-course credential evaluation which shows the U.S. equivalency. TOEFL Requirements apply.

English Language Proficiency TestIf English is not your first language, submit your test scores for either the TOEFL or IELTS.

Utica requires a TOEFL score of 550 written, 213 computer-based, 79 internet-based and IELTS of 6.0

Official TranscriptsAs part of the admissions process, we require an evaluation of your overseas degree and transcripts to determine their equivalency in the U.S. You may use the following universal organization: https://www.wes.org.
