John Oevering

John Oevering is the Endpoint Engineer and Information Security Officer for Utica University. He also serves as an adjunct lecturer in the Cybersecurity Program. Earning both a Master of Science and Master of Business Administration in Cybersecurity from Utica University, John has rebuilt Utica Universities’ information security team. In his role, John oversees all physical endpoint hardware and software while developing and maintaining information security policies and procedures for the Utica University community. John is committed to promoting a safe and secure learning environment, and has focused his research into cybersecurity issues within higher education. As an adjunct lecturer, John has redesigned CYB 237 – Network Security to align with CompTIA’s Network+ certification.
