Prerequisite Coursework | 3-credit statistics course (grade of B or higher*) *Students with a B- or lower grade in statistics will be provided the option of completing a self-study module and accompanying exam. 3-credit baccalaureate-level health assessment course including observed laboratory* *Students with a B- or lower grade in Health Assessment will be required to successfully complete a 3 credit hour course prior to starting the program. |
Successful Background Check | Not required for admission. Approved background check and fingerprints required prior to beginning practicum courses. Students shall be drug-screened through arrangements made by the school and the screening agency. Students are responsible for the cost of all screenings. You may be denied participation and placement at a clinical agency based on the background or drug screening findings and the clinical agency’s pre-employment screening policy. Withdrawal from the program will be necessary if you cannot be placed in a clinical agency to meet program practicum requirements. |

Transfer Credit
Up to nine transfer credits may be awarded for courses taken at a regionally accredited college that are equivalent to those taught at Utica University and for which you received a grade of “B” or better. After six transfer credits, the additional three credit hours need to be approved by the Dean for Graduate Studies. Note that we require official transcripts from all colleges you’ve attended, as well as a transcript showing the degree awarded.
Shortly after you receive your letter of admission, you will receive an evaluation of your transfer credits from the Registrar’s Office. If you want to review possible credit eligibility ahead of time, use TES® (Transfer Evaluation System).

English Language Proficiency Test | If English is not your first language, submit your test scores for either the TOEFL or IELTS. Utica requires a TOEFL score of 550 written, 213 computer-based, 79 internet-based, and IELTS of 6.0 |

Letter of Support from Employer | Using a form provided by Utica, you’ll submit a letter of support from your current employer. |
When to Apply
You can apply right now using our online application form. We accept applications throughout the year for enrollment into our spring, summer, and fall terms. You’ll receive a response from the admissions department within 2–3 weeks.
